CNC aluminum cutting

The accurate operation feeling brought by high rigidity realizes a step work of a higher rank, such as a firm load and a click for each operation.

Both step bar position adjustment mechanism

The step bar has two mounting positions, front and back, and the step position can be moved 10 mm further forward. This allows for further fine adjustment.

Both pedal tips are adjustable

The pedal tips can be shortened by up to 10 mm to fit riders with small feet. In addition, the pedal tips are equipped with a rotation prevention mechanism, making them very unlikely to fall off.

Independent adjustment of shift pedal

The pedal height on the shift side can be adjusted independently after optimizing the insertion of the auto shifter with a rod.

The difference between white anodized and polished

The difference is whether it is "anodized" or not.

Generally, most manufacturers that manufacture machined aluminum products sell most of their products with anodizing. If it is anodized, the surface will be harder, more resistant to scratches, and more resistant to corrosion.

At AELLA, we have both anodized and non-anodized products.

We call uncolored anodized aluminum "white anodized." The reason we call it white is because it looks a little whitish after anodizing.

On the other hand, polished refers to the state of the aluminum as it is after cutting. When you hear the word "polished," you might think it is polished, but it is not actually polished.

We have taken some photos to compare them, so please take a look.

You can see that the gloss of the surface is different between polished and white anodized.

White anodized has a slightly rougher surface, while polished has a clearer reflection.

However, unlike a mirror, it has a unique gloss that can only be achieved by cutting. (Click on the image to enlarge)

The "strength" of selling polish as a product

As mentioned above, polish has a unique texture that can only be achieved by cutting.

If you like cutting, this gloss will increase your sense of ownership.

So why is this polish not generally sold? It's because it takes more effort than necessary.

When cutting parts from aluminum ingots, we try to cut as little as possible to keep costs down. We don't cut the back side and other parts that don't need to be cut, and we just anodize them as they are. This makes the remaining cutting less noticeable.

Polishing involves scraping off all surfaces, even surfaces that do not need to be scraped, as if peeling off a thin layer. The same goes for the backside.
The cutting tools used for scraping are also very expensive. Cheap cutting tools tend to leave rough surfaces and a poor finish.
Polishing does not involve anodizing, so all traces are visible.
It requires extra costs to achieve this, but it results in a unique and beautiful finish, which is one of AELLA's strengths as a manufacturer.

I think some of you may be interested in polishing. We at AELLA are also happy to see bikes that use polishing at meetings and other events.

Finally, here is some information for those who are looking to purchase polishing.
Polished materials, by their very nature, are easily scratched, vulnerable to moisture and dirt, and prone to white rust.
That said, as long as they're not left for long periods of time there's no degradation in performance, but keeping them looking nice forever takes more effort than with anodized products.
In order to keep them in as good condition as possible, we recommend the following:
- Always keep them dry
- When wiping the surface, use wax that doesn't contain abrasives to polish, being careful not to get dust on them
- Small scratches cannot be removed, so if they do appear, regularly polish them to a mirror finish
.
Anodized products cannot be polished, so polishing is recommended in order to enjoy the changes that occur over time.

違いは「アルマイト処理」をしているか、していないか、です。

一般的にアルミ削り出し製品を製造しているメーカーはそのほとんどをアルマイト処理して販売しています。アルマイト処理をしてれば表面硬度が高くなって傷にも強く、耐腐食性も上がります。

AELLAではアルマイト処理した製品としていない製品の両方が存在します。
私たちは無着色アルマイトのことを「ホワイトアルマイト」と呼んでいます。 なぜホワイトとなのかと言うと、アルマイト後に少し白っぽく見えるからです。

一方ポリッシュはアルミ切削をしたままの状態を指します。ポリッシュと聞くと磨いているように思われるかも知れませんが実際には磨いたりしているわけではありません。
