The Universal Wall Connector is a convenient charging solution for Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles alike, and is ideal for homes, apartments, hospitality venues, and workplaces.

It will be available for sale only in North America from October 2024.
This is a great product that can charge both Tesla vehicles and other EVs and PHVs.
(Benz, BMW, VW, VOLVO, Jaguar, HONDA, TOYOTA, LEXUS, NISSAN, etc.)

It's a popular item that's often on backorder at Tesla stores in North America, and it's been decided that 20,000 units will be installed in Hilton hotels across North America starting this year.
It's a product I'd love to see available in Japan, but in the past, J1772-compatible chargers were only available for business use and not for general sale, so it may be difficult to introduce it domestically.

From the Manual: The Wall Connector includes built-in Wi-Fi to communicate with local site routers, vehicles, mobile devices, other Wall Connectors, and other Tesla products. Host Access Point: The Wall Connector hosts a WPA2 password-protected 2.4 GHz, 802.11 Wi-Fi access point network to facilitate commissioning and connection to other devices. The unique SSID Wi-Fi network name and WPA2 password for connecting to the Wall Connector are printed on a label on the back of the unit and on the front cover of the included Quick Start Guide. The Wall Connector commissioning process simplifies configuration of circuit breaker size, Wi-Fi connection, and power sharing options. 1. Turn on the Wall Connector's corresponding branch breaker to apply power to the unit. Upon startup, the Wall Connector will display a green LED for 10 seconds, indicating the maximum circuit breaker setting. 2. Use a Wi-Fi-enabled device, such as a smartphone, to connect to the SSID Wi-Fi signal broadcast by the Wall Connector. You can join the Wall Connector network by scanning the QR code on the sticker on the cover of the Quick Start Guide, or by manually selecting the network and entering the WPA2 password (located on the sticker on the cover of the Quick Start Guide). Note: The Wi-Fi network only broadcasts for 5 minutes. To force the Wall Connector to rebroadcast the SSID, press and hold the button on the charging handle for 5 seconds or turn the circuit breaker off and then on again. Note: If you are unable to connect to the Wall Connector SSID, turn off cellular data on your mobile device and try again. Scan the QR code below on a device connected to the Wall Connector to access the commissioning interface in your web browser. Or manually enter the URL address (http://192.168.92.1) in your web browser. Follow the on-screen commissioning instructions in your web browser to assign the Wall Connector to its own circuit breaker and connect it to your local site's Wi-Fi network.
