The Universal Wall Connector is a convenient charging solution for Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles alike, ideal for homes, apartments, hospitality venues, and workplaces.

Sales began in North America only in October 2024.
This excellent product can charge both Tesla vehicles and other EVs and PHVs.
(Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW, Volvo, Jaguar, Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, etc.)

This is a popular product that is often out of stock at Tesla stores in North America. It has been decided that 20,000 units will be introduced in Hilton hotels in North America starting this year.
It's a product that we'd like to see in Japan, but given that J1772-compatible chargers were only sold for business use and not generally available in the past, domestic introduction may be difficult.

From the manual: The Wall Connector has Wi-Fi and communicates with local site routers, vehicles, mobile devices, other Wall Connectors, and other Tesla products. Host Access Point The Wall Connector hosts a WPA2 password-protected 2.4 GHz, 802.11 Wi-Fi access point network to facilitate commissioning and connection to other devices. The unique SSID Wi-Fi network name and WPA2 password for connecting to the Wall Connector are printed on a label on the back of the unit and on the front cover of the included Quick Start Guide. The Wall Connector commissioning process allows you to easily configure circuit breaker size, Wi-Fi connectivity, and power sharing options. 1. Turn on the corresponding branch breaker for the Wall Connector to power the unit. Upon startup, the Wall Connector will display a green LED for 10 seconds, indicating the maximum circuit breaker set. 2. Use a Wi-Fi enabled device such as a smartphone to connect to the SSID Wi-Fi signal broadcast by the Wall Connector. Joining the Wall Connector network can be done by scanning the sticker QR code on the front cover of the Quick Start Guide or by manually selecting the network and entering the WPA2 password (located on the sticker on the front cover of the Quick Start Guide). Note: The Wi-Fi network broadcasts for only 5 minutes. To make the Wall Connector broadcast the SSID again, press and hold the button on the charging handle for 5 seconds, or turn the circuit breaker off and then on again. Note: If you cannot connect to the Wall Connector SSID, turn off cellular data on your mobile device and try again. Scan the QR code below on a device connected to the Wall Connector to access the web browser commissioning interface. Alternatively, manually enter the URL address (http://192.168.92.1) into your web browser. Follow the on-screen commissioning instructions in the web browser to assign the Wall Connector to its own circuit breaker and connect it to your local site's Wi-Fi network.
