This is a genuine DUCATI radiator cap.
Radiator caps are prone to deterioration, and if they malfunction, the pressure will drop and the coolant will boil. If the coolant boils, it can lead to damage to the hoses and radiator, and if the coolant leaks and you continue driving, the engine may overheat. The radiator cap maintains the water pressure in the cooling passage at a specified value, releases the coolant that cannot be contained in the cooling passage due to temperature rise into the reservoir tank, and returns the coolant from the reservoir tank to the cooling passage when the temperature returns to normal.
 Please check it regularly and carry a spare.
